ENGINEERING TRAINEE-CAD DRAFTER (SUMMER 2026 POSITION)

Job Summary:

TEI is offering a Summer 2026 Mechanical Engineering work opportunity to assist in the Engineering and Quality Control aspects of TEI to assure quality production of TEI drills and attachments.

Our ideal candidate will have CAD Drafting education coursework or experience working in drafting programs (AutoCAD; SolidWorks; etc). Primary job functions will include Production Build Book standardization and Redline Print draft changes per Engineer approval. Complete these tasks as outlined with accuracy, timeliness, and mentorship supervision.

TEI will pair the candidate with a staff Engineer for on-the-job training and mentorship throughout the summer position.  Successful candidates may be considered for return options during future school breaks or long-term hiring potential.

The standard work schedule is outlined at 32 hours with minimum 25 up to 40 hours per week determined by project-based work needs.

ASSEMBLER LEVEL 1 (ENTRY-LEVEL MANFACTURING SHOP & PAINT ASSISTANT)

Job Summary:

TEI Rock Drills is seeking a manufacturing shop & paint assistant to join our Assembly Department. Our ideal candidate is preferred to have a minimum 1-3 years manufacturing or production shop work experience. The candidate is also reliable, works well in a team manufacturing production environment, learns quickly, is results oriented, and demonstrates attention to detail that will align with TEI’s ISO 9001 quality standards.

Perform entry-level Preparation, Assistance, Assembly, and/or Paint of TEI Drills, Parts, & Attachments. Complete these tasks as outlined by the Assembly Build procedures with accuracy under supervisory assistance.
